Happy 4th of July!

In the "The Book About Me" that I received as a very little girl, and filled out in shaky printing, I said that my favorite song was the patriotic classic, "America the Beautiful."

Oh beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown they good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

I still get weepy when I hear it.
